MotivBase Signals is used by the Fortune 500 to track developments affecting the most important parts of their business.
Give your business the contextual intelligence it currently lacks.
Signals uses MotivBase's Contextual Intelligence algorithm to spread the net wider and study the broader context of discussions consumers have around a topic or issue. This allows Signals to pinpoint those signals that are entering newly into the contextual boundary around a topic, and track its ongoing growth in relevance. This is what separates Signals from any other type of social media tracker. Signals is built to not just capture the dominant (often obvious) signals, but identify those that are not-so-obvious yet contextually relevant.
Signals serves as an early warning system for legacy businesses that are constantly affected by the changing expectations of consumers. It also serves as an early detection system for the identification of new innovation opportunities affecting existing and future lines of your business.
A scalable way to protect your business without having to constantly deal with analysis paralysis.
The power of the MotivBase Signals doesn’t just lie in the early identification of new and emerging demand spaces or threats. It also lies in the quantification of the rate of change of these early signals, allowing us to gain critical perspective on timing and impact to our business.
The platform is built to be completely self-serve. It uses our AI Anthropologist to provide incredibly powerful discovery metrics so your business intelligence and insights team can get to powerful and relevant outcomes quickly and intuitively. It also enables in-app interactions with our Ph.D. researchers so as to allow for better user flow and enable quick answers to research questions.
How MotivBase Signals works.
Once we define an area of focus for tracking, our machine gets to work and identifies the top topics (up to 20,000) that consumers relate to the broader context of the search. These topics are organized based on their contextual relevance to the search focus, which itself is reported for every single topic on a monthly basis. Remember, this contextual distance is calculated by our contextual mapping algorithm which allows us to understand the changing meanings that consumers inadvertently associate with your search focus over time.
In addition to the contextual distance, our platform also provides an overall signal score, and reports on the slope of the score, giving users perspective on the pattern and rate of change. Additionally, each dashboard also reports on a month over month changes and allows users to pick topics or issues they'd like to track and get notified on.
Lastly, Signals is highly complementary to MotivBase Trends. New opportunities and threats identified through Signals can be easily examined in Trends to decode hidden meanings, quantify maturity and market potential and more. Clients that leverage both platforms together benefit from a completely consumer-led approach to agile research. The consumer is relied upon to identify signals of change, and then again relied upon to tell us what those signals mean to them in their lives and why.
